President Obama engages in a little bipartisan activity Friday, meeting with a group of new governors-elect — most of them Republicans.
Obama's guests at the White House will include GOP governors-elect Larry Hogan of Maryland, Charlie Baker of Massachusetts, Bruce Rauner of Illinois and Greg Abbott of Texas.
Most of these Republicans criticized Obama during their successful campaigns this year.
Abbott, the attorney general of Texas, is planning a lawsuit against the president over his new immigration policies; he has previously sued the administration over health care and environmental policies.
There will be one Democratic governor-elect at Friday's White House meeting, Tom Wolf of Pennsylvania.
