Business PACs favor Gardner in final stretch of election

Political action committees created by business, which previously gave more of their campaign donations to Democratic U.S. Sen. Mark Udall of Colorado in his bid for re-election, have changed course, with more of their campaign cash now going to Republican challenger Cory Gardner.

The Wall Street Journal reports that it's an example of a "significant shift" in the mid-term election in which business PACs lately have been donating more to the campaigns of Republican candidates than to Democrats -- including even some incumbents like Udall -- in seven competitive Senate races.
